-- Pauline Park of the Transgender Legal Defense Fund and the New York Association for Gender Rights Advocacy, on the beating attack against Leslie Mora, a transgender woman living in Queens, NY. Mora's attackers followed her from a gay club and called her "faggot" as they beat her.

This is becoming more frequent recently, and I'm beginning to think it may be the beginning of the inevitable backlash against the steady progress of gay marriage (now 5 states and counting) and the continued push for equality and specific legislation in Congress now being considered (ENDA, DADT, etc.)
