From the failure to pass hate crimes legislation - which should have been a no-brainer - to ENDA and DADT, the fits and spurts of "we're this close" to "you're going to have to wait in line" have been both gladdening and maddening.
Sexual orientation is just not an issue - there are more important things to be concerned about. Doesn't the Congress and the Obama administration understand the American public has already moved on, and it's time they did also?
To help get the ball rolling, here's a mash-up video sent to me on DADT that basically - in my view - tells Congress and President Obama to start doing something other than nothing. If they're not going to actually pass some LGBTQ legislation, it's time to crank up the volume. Happy Sunday T-dancing...

lol...Other than the c/p of the movie clips, that video makes a very valid point. One I've spoken of frequently although not quite with such fervor.
As far as more pressing issues, check this out:

Thanks for flagging this, John. Seems to have been viewed less than 500X on Youtube. It's a really good collage of moments we ought not to forget in framing the repeal efforts. I'd love to see an expanded or second edition incorporating Colin Powell's flipflopping statements, and yes, Cher's Moonstruck line is pretty much the medicine this country needs. I'm sending it to my brother, the retired army colonel. He won't like it.
