The Indiana Senate Democrats launched a new video today touting everything they've done this year to support military service members and public safety officials. One of the super awesome laws they passed this year was HEA 1258; it allows motorists with a former POW specialty license plate to park in a metered space without cost or length of time limitations.
Here's a fun game! Count the African-American people in the video! Need a hint? There's only one and he's not a Senator!! *sighs and starts to sing "Back Home Again in Indiana"* Some day soon my state will get with the times, Projectors. I hope.

My first question is, how does one qualify for a former POW license plate? By lying? The Department of Defense says there are 21 surviving ex-POWs from the Gulf War. The VA is paying disability benefits to 286 who claim that status. Apparently the VA seldom if ever checks with the DoD. http://apnews.excite.com/article/20090411/D97GDHR81.html
