Every now and then I randomly search a musician who appears on my playlist to see if they're LGBT in any way and can be put up here. This is what doing this feature for over two years does to someone. Usually I don't find anything, so imagine how pleasantly surprised I was to find out Alicia "I Love the Nightlife" Bridges is a lesbian. (I know, I know, I'm probably just behind the times.)
I was going to put up some more recent music from her, but this is the only song of hers on YouTube. And it's there a couple dozen times. On her site, you can watch a video of a man reading the lyrics to "I Love the Nightlife" poetically. So, there ya go.

Lordy, lordy, Alicia Bridges' voice and that song takes me right back to the Ice Palace on Fire Island, when I was one of the party girls of the western world. I wouldn't have missed the 70s for anything.

After last night's party breaking up at 4:00 AM I feel as though the transmission has fallen out of my "boogie." :) Alex, I would have loved to watch it, but it came up copyright restricted in Thailand.

If you haven't seen it, this video for "I Love The Nightlife" is classic! It's also promo for "Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert".
