Here's NY state senator Tom Duane's speech on a bill for seropositive people receiving state assistance. He gets a standing ovation, but I wonder if people actually cared about what he said.

Alex,

I listened to Senator Duane's speech and I only wish we had more public officials with his courage. I cared what he said. He must have gotten their attention as the bill passed the New York Senate 52-1. Don't you wonder who the "1" was?

Tom Duane is a fucking hero especially to those of us who are survivors.

Thank you for representing the Citizens of america and do your job. Being the voice of those who can't be there to speak up. People forget that the People are the government. We are the one's who can change everything. It angers me that the poloticians sell out? and don't care about the citizens.
