At least she is gone from the job. It should give a good weapon to use should she go for the Whitehouse later. What I find a little funky is that Google put an add for her PAC fundraising right here when I pulled up the page.

She became a lame duck by declaring her lame duckness. It's a psychology as much as as a term limit. She term-limited herself, and more importantly - announced it - way before she needed to. There are elected officials who are technically lame ducks, but if they insist on their relevance, and actively push their agenda throughout their tenure, they aren't treated as such. For example, George W. Bush was technically a lame duck the last four years of his presidency. That didn't slow him down much.

Palin was looking for an excuse to quit. Every governor of Virginia is a lame duck the day he first takes office. They are limited to one term. But nobody doesn't bother to not take the oath of office or go to work. And lots of people work very hard to get the job that by Palin's "logic", wouldn't be worth having.

I didn't think we'd have the chance to laugh at Palin for at least another year or so. But oh, she does not disappoint - I can already see the SNL skits. Clearly, Tina Fey's career will never die.

If you can't stand the heat, get out of Alaska! In honor of Palin's departure the state is renaming it famous dessert "Half-Baked Alaska!"

I think we must to all we can to promote and support Sara Palin's future within the Republican Party. It is as good a gift as the combination of Larry Craig and George Bush talking US politics before the Israeli Knesset. Both are totally improper, both are strong enough to stick with the voters and we have a new one. Keep her! She is a gift like Rush Limbaugh and we must keep them strong so they can trip themselves up.

Palin's running from the posse. There's a good possibility of indictments based on the construction of her home in Wasilla at the same time as the Wasilla Sports Complex. You can't outrun the grand jury.
