"Let's hope Barack does more than award Milk: Let's hope he takes the spirit and lessons Milk taught and actually begins changing things for members of his country still oppressed by institutionalized bigotry and religious dogma."

--Charles Karel Bouley at HuffPo, on the posthumous awarding of the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Harvey Milk

I really don’t know who Harvey Milk is, not until you introduce him to us, thanks DANA! Well I agree that even if he will be awarded by this Medal of Freedom by our President Barack Obama, it is still not enough since we can still not feel the equality and justice that must be given to the gay/lesbian community. I wonder how many online cash advances need to be wasted as well as lives of our gay activists before they will be recognized and accepted deeply in the hearts of community. The lessons and struggles of Milk is worth to be recognized, even if he doesn’t finished what he truly wish for at least he made the first step for us to continue. Congratulation Harvey! Hope you are well rested now. You will always be in our hearts!
