My favorite nerdy show on my favorite nerdy channel, InfoMania on Current TV, has started taking on media misrepresentation of the LGBT community in a rather hilarious and irreverent way in a segment called "That's Gay.". This segment is focused on commercials.
Love you, Bryan Safi!

Ah! It must have been when I was on vacation and "hiking the Appalachian trail". ;)

Hopefully you will have been smarter and not gotten caught with some of its beauties ;).

I've seen gay Orbitz commercials on channels other than Logo and Bravo. Much gayer than the one in the video, though. It was two gay couples competing to see who could book a gay vacation more quickly, the ones using some other site vs. the ones using Orbitz.

i wasn't able to view this today, but i made a point of watching Info Mania today, and it is hilarious!
i hadn't even begun watching Current until a couple of months ago - happened to notice how much coverage Gay Pride Month received on the network, and that impressed me. i have since been watching for more gay-relevant programming there, but hadn't had occasion to watch "just anything." now i am motivated.
thanks for the referral, waymon.
