Adam Bink, a friend of TBP who has started some great conversations here about strategy and moral hazard in the LGBT movement has an announcement today- he's going up to Maine next month to blog at his home blog, OpenLeft.com.

If we're going to win in Maine, we have to get our straight allies involved. The folks in Maine have been posting a lot in DailyKos diaries, and now we need to expand beyond that. Sending Adam to Maine can help. OpenLeft is a non-LGBT blog that writes a lot on building progressive power, and Adam is the resident LGBT activist there writing about strategy and resources for the LGBT movement. We have to build our base of straight allied activists to notch a win.

Adam needs to raise a bit of coin to cover travel expenses, and I think it's a worthy cause. The wider we spread out the message of how critical a victory in Maine is, the better chance we'll have to win this thing. You've chipped in to raise over $3,000 here at TBP. If you can dig deep and toss in for Adam to head up to Maine right as the campaign is coming to the home stretch, we'll have a better shot at winning this thing.

Here's his announcement post. And here's where you can chip in.
