MADISON AVENUE NYC --- Following the untimely passing of the Taco Bell Chihuahua, this poodle is the new mascot for NBC-TV. It was created by fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi. The new motto at NBC that goes along with the poodle is "More colorful"
That motto beat out the one suggested by the poodle's owner, "Gayer than a peacock".
Originally, Mizrahi had the Target "red bull's eye" logo on the dog where the pink-and-blue spiral now appears. But Target executives responded, "Oh! That's too gay! Even for Target!" When Mizrahi asked if he was free to sell the design to NBC, the Target executives exclaimed, "Yes! Yes! Absolutely! Just get it out of here before any of our children see it!"
There are rumors that the poodle may make a cameo on the hit series Mad Men --- check your local listings.
