Editor's Note: This is an important message from our good friend Cathy James of Securing Our Children's Rights and OUT about the Fair Districts Campaign, which is dedicated to fairness in drawing Congressional districts in Florida and ending gerrymandering.

Please help Fair Districts Florida get petitions processed!

The GLBT Community worked very hard to collect thousands of the 1,449,209 Fair District petitions. It's a powerful testament to the grassroots support for bringing fairness back to redistricting, and restoring the voice of the voters.

Unfortunately, the State of Florida charges 10 cents to process each petition. Fair Districts Florida must raise $150,000 to process the petitions.

Fair Districts is having a fundraiser on 9/9/2009 and I created a host named GLBT Community. Let's show how important fair districts are to the GLBT Community by raising lots of money.

If you contribute $20.10, you will get 201 petitions processed. Such a deal!!

A $100.00 contribution gets 1,000 petitions processed. WOW!!
