he's a compelling artist who masterfully is "speaking from his heart." I worry though about many of today's artists who seem to exhibit less than an octave range. Is this a singer or someone who speaks dramatically? I''m worried about Mr. Walker--his rusty sound comes from a vocal chord anomaly--like June Allyson. It could also come from dry vocal chords which are abused by singing. If he's manufacturing the sound, it will ruin his true voice.

I understand your concern about Jake, but seeing him live and listening to ALL of his work, even just his Youtube videos, this young man has range you can't even imagine. His soft tender in his upper range makes me cry every time I hear it. "For Someone" is just a small slice into all Jake has to offer, so I hope you will listen to more. The entire album has become like a best friend to me! And as far as the gravel in his voice, I can tell you it is real, but only a small part of his effortless arsinal.
I am waiting for the day when the world at large discovers Jake, for all he is, for all he will be.
Thank you, Bob
