While I didn't expect to be quoted on NPR and the New York Times on the same day about the National Equality March, I did expect to see some fantastic coverage of the march here on Bilerico Project.
Once again, our contributors didn't let me down. We had some of the best video, written reports and photographs on the web.

It is coverage like this that rightfully leads to awards like this one. I am humbled to be a part of the Bilerico team in my small way.
I hope this gets headlines here soon.

Bill:
When you interviewed Cleve Jones, you specifically asked him if he would commit to raising money at the march for Maine. He unambiguously said "yes".
So where's the money? Are you going to follow up, or was the whole thing just BS?

Equality Across America sent out two e-mail blasts raising money for Maine and both Maine and Washington have been linked prominently from their websites with requests to donate money. As far as I know, before the march, the org never sent out an e-mail asking for funds for themselves - only Maine and Washington. I have no idea how much they raised for either state.
