I think since the votes were so close ,that Maine is closer than it appears to be to accepting Gay Marriage. Yes, people can be persuaded and do change their minds. If not why even bother? Change only comes about after dialogues have been opened,fears broken down and misconceptions dispelled. We need to stop reinforcing the negative regarding the Maine loss and concentrate on pushing on in a possitve attitude.
