Does the sight of your pet's bunghole bother you? Do you find yourself staring at it fixedly? You could see a therapist. Or, you can buy the "Rear Gear Butt Cover" from this enterprising Etsy "artiste," which promises "No more Mr. Brown Eye." - Rear Gear Butt Covers

Dear Gloria,
I am laughing out loud, not so much because of the product highlighted in this post but because of the fact that this silly, light-hearted post directly follows the very passionate, serious and important editorial by Bil on the subject of Ron Gold's virgin post.

Ya gotta luv it! Bilerico's got it all.

The bio-hazard symbol is nice touch!!
Could you see Billy Mays trying hawk this product?
Hilarious!

Several of the editors, contributors and commentors here could benefit by the application of this over their writing.....just saying.

LOL, oh my. And now for something completely different.

THe late night comedians will love this, it is so ripe for jokes. Several observations:

(1) It does serve a practical purpose --- it prevents the ill-mannered pooch from rubbing his a-hole on the living room carpet --- I've seen dogs scoot around the room as if they were on a jet-ski. Or maybe the outside of the butt-blocker could be a surface of "scratch-and-sniff" material, so that the misbehaving pooch might be mistaken for a Glade Scented Candle.

(2) OTOH, it also prevents the pooch (or kitty) from performing its natural preening rituals --- I don't like seeing a cat with one hind leg in the air, but at least it is grooming itself the way that nature intended. Only occasionally have I wondered whether my cats enjoy rimming themselves. (I definitely know a few men who would if they could.)

(3) Regarding the picture on the outside, I do hope that celebrity versions get offered soon --- I particularly anticipate the Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter customizations. (And many other right wing personalities we all know and love --- collect the "hole" set!)

(4) Seeing that the corresponding spot is one of my favorite anatomical features on adult male humans, I do hope this device does not catch on with the guys at the tubs.
