The luckiest thing that has happened to Letterman over the last year is that Tiger Woods took his place as the hetero whoremonger of the year award.
The fact that Letterman and his announcer have often made fun of gays is also something to remember. It seems like every time they want to do or say something about a GLBT news item, they always bring in that little red headed annluncer because I think he is, literally, gay and they probably think that gives them license top make fun of GLBT people if it one of them participating in it.

For what it's worth, this actually appears to be making fun of transphobia rather than transgender people for a change.
