The FCC received over 5000 complaints over Adam Lambert's American Music Awards performance. Not really too many considering the millions who tuned in, and it's fewer since not all of them are actually complaints.
The Smoking Gun put a few of them online, and here are a few of the more interesting comments. I should preface by saying that I didn't particularly like the performance since the song isn't that great, but then that's the whole reason I wouldn't watch something like the AMA's. These people decided to tune into a party exclusively for music produced, promoted, and sold by big corporations as a substitute for a people-powered American culture and then find it bizarre that no one shares their morals. It's like going to McDonald's and being surprised that the food isn't healthy.
But it's fairly obvious that a good deal of these people are motivated by homophobia:
Some of the more fun complaints are after the jump.
