As the gays get all excited about joining the US military, I can't help but wonder what Bill Hicks would be saying today. The clip above is a fierce farcical tirade critiquing both the demand for a gay inclusive military and the military itself. Have the gays turned a deaf ear to the world wide cries against militarism and war? Or are the gays just so turned on by those starched khaki uniforms they've forgotten what it means to wear one?

It is easy to complain from under the blanket of protection provided by those starched khaki uniforms.

Ah, yes, indeed but there's a difference between doing what you gotta do only because you gotta do it and, starch or no starch, doing it because you are full of a form of venom that condemns all life, including yourself.

To rape, pillage and plunder in the name of freedom is not, repeat, NOT a noble profession, not by any means.

you think the us military makes me feel safer?!?! oh jeeze. i dont know where to start in responding to that question.

guess i will just say, youve got to be in complete denial if you think weapons stock piling, nuclear weapons, imperialism, and routine rape and torture through out the world makes me feel safe.

and when it comes down to it, i will protect my own family how i see fit. thank you very much!
