I'm proud to announce that Dr. Jillian Weiss will be joining the Bilerico Project editorial team starting today. Dr. Weiss is a popular TBP contributor, scholar, and trans activist known for her dedicated coverage and advocacy congratulation_graphics_3.giffor the Employment Non-Discrimination Act.

Her insights and judgment will be invaluable to our continued success. We've doubled our traffic in the past year and I'm confident that her addition will help that amazing growth rate continue.

Today's change to the editorial team will kick off some changes to Bilerico Project that will happen in April and May. Look for more updates as they happen - including a big announcement next week.

Please join me in welcoming Dr. Weiss to the management team for Bilerico Project.

Awesome choice. After her stint as our official Bilerico I was kinda hoping. It's particularly great to have a transperson on the edteam again.

Congrats Jillian, I already know you'll be great! :)

This is great news. Jillian has always been a voice of wisdom, challenging us to think further. Her addition to the editorial board is definitely a win for Bilerico.

Congratulations to Jillian and Bilerico!

Nice news for a change. Congratulations to both Jillian and Bilerico.

I'm looking forward to your continued contributions to the LGBT Movement.

Thank you Andrew. Though we have our differences, I know we all want to move our community forward.

This is great news. The choice could not have been any better.

Thanks for your kind words and for being a good friend, Monica.

Yay, Jill! I knew this was coming and I'm still excited!

Welcome aboard.

Thanks, Jerame, and thanks for your friendship.

Congratulations! I think you should do edits on your fancy Droid phone! Did I ever tell you I wrote an entire post on my G1 once? I doubt there was any fewer capitalization and punctuation errors than usual so I'm sure Bil and Ed Team had NO idea I wasn't at a computer!

Kudos, Jillian! Your dedicated & tireless advocacy is exactly "the right stuff" for The Bilerico Project. Best wishes on your new assignment with TBR management.

Congratulations, Jillian! It was that wonderful trans man beefcake you posted that did it, wasn't it. :)

Thanks Veronique. Beefcake and Bilerico seem to go together, don't they?

That great! Welcome Jill, though you've been around longer than I.
O.T. I got my copy of Unfriendly Fire today. Thanks Bil. Also wanted to say that I haven't wanted to be away from the project's pages but it took forever to clear the cache after the supposed malware attack on this site. Even after I manually cleared it, it took weeks before I stopped getting directed away. That's a serious complaint I have with Windows7. It treats the user like she or he is a five year old, without enough savvy and skill to deal with threats, real or imagined. It seems to be finally over though today.

Thanks Margaret. Sorry to hear about all the trouble with the malware stuff.

Excellent news! As the pope of Bilerico, infallible in matters of amusement, I hereby confer upon her the title Jillian Cardinal Weiss.

Thanks, Father Tony. Do I get one of those red hats now?

"Amongst our weaponry are such diverse elements as fear, surprise, ruthless efficiency, an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope, and nice red uniforms!"

Congratulations.

Congratulations, Jillian, and welcome!

Thanks, Yasmin. It's a pleasure to blog with you.

Thanks for your enthusiasm, Gregory!

Brilliant choice! Congrats Dr Weiss.

Best news I've heard (read) today! Congrats Dr. Weiss!

Congratulations Jill! Love Your posts!

Congratulations, Dr. Weiss. I always look forward to your entries. Well done, Bilerico!

We're so lucky to have you! Hooray!

a well-deserved promotion and a great choice by the ed team. Kudos!

Hurray and congratulations. Thank for your advocacy!!

Congratulations, Dr. Weiss, on your new, and well-deserved, position in Bilerico's editorial team. Though I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you yet, I look forward to working with you in the future and to help you make Bilerico the best LGBT blog ever.

I am really overwhelmed by all of your good wishes. It's a crazy day here at school, and my students are invading, demanding advice on writing their 40 pages thesis that they need to graduate. I wish I could take the time to thank everyone individually, but even as I type there is a student standing by the door. So let me just say thank you to all for your kind words and good wishes, and I hope I am able to provide the kind of dedication that Bilerico and its readers deserve. Thank you all for your support.

ok, so, i'm glad you were chosen and all...but i have to tell you, it hasn't snowed here in at least two months, and it is coming down real good right at the moment...and if i have to go out and shovel because you made it snow, it is going to cause the good will i'm sending your way to be considerably diminished.

i'm just sayin'.

So excited that Jillian is part of the Ed Team! She will make an amazing addition!

We love you, J!!

Now you'll learn our pain, the pain that can only be understood by a TBP editor.
