Sounds pretty accurate to me. Now, how do you explain derivatives? I think you should have this printed on posterboard and sent to the House Financial Services Committee. :)
Oh I can't resist trying an explanation for that. Derivatives is when you have been having safe sex only to discover or suspect he is contagious. So you pimp him out to others thus minimizing your risk while collecting undisclosed fees. If others end up infected you claim innocence. You then arrange government assistance for them (taking a substantial fee for the service which you deposit in an account in the Cayman islands while on vacation).
Clever, just like the financiers. Good job of putting things into terms anyone can understand.
