Neil Patrick Harris was on the View yesterday and the conversation turned to actors who've come out of the closet. The women bring up Rupert Everett who has claimed that would-be-stars should keep their sexual orientation a secret if they want to make it in the business.

Is it just me or did he quietly say that the real reason Rupert's not getting much work isn't because he's gay, it's because he can't act?

I think Rupert's not getting a lot of work because he's had too much plastic surgery and doesn't look like himself anymore.

Well, it's not just you -- other LGBTQ bloggers also seem determined to twist this into some kind of diss of Rupert Everett. NPH is far too classy and savvy to do that.

um... Rupert has a film or television job every year some times 2.

NPH? Holy crap he's busy!

Lets face it. Both can be great actors but there are numerous factors that goes in to any carrer.

The US has a much larger entertainment market than the UK does for one. That alone gives NPH greater acess to jobs. Thats just one and its a huge one.

Although I've been amused with your romantic obsession with NPH, Bil, that seems to have eclipsed my ability to notice that NPH is possibily the most powerful out male actor in Hollywood. He's the closest we have to a male Ellen.

Congratulations, Neil, on your skyrocketing career (You go, dude!) ...

... and Bil ... well ... keep the faith, as Tavis always says ...
