Seventeen years ago today, the Clinton White House announced a new policy they were going to advocate to solve the "problem" of gays in the military. ABC News brought us the story of the new "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy and the next day Congress started holding hearings to investigate whether or not it should be passed.
