Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco strips down for a recent anti-fur ad for PETA. The hottie doesn't have a problem thrusting himself into the spotlight - whether it's being a contestant on Dancing With the Stars, hosting a football show with teammate Terrell Owens, or starring in his own VH1 reality dating show called The Ultimate Catch.
The football star says he when he was younger he didn't realize that they killed the animals to take their fur. I can sympathize; when I was a kid I used to think that wigs were the scalps of dead women and would flip out whenever I saw one.
...When he found out how animals are brutally killed for their skins, he really wanted to become a part of this campaign. Animals killed for their fur endure tremendous pain and suffering before being turned into coats, hats or used as fur trim. Foxes, minks, rabbits even dogs and cats are bludgeoned, stomped, electrocuted, and gassed to death. PETA undercover investigations reveal that many are skinned alive. The only way to prevent such unimaginable cruelty is never to buy or wear any fur or fur trim, and by encouraging others to do the same.
