What a tangled web we weave when we use email to deceive

Read it and weep, possibly with laughter. And remember, boys and girls: autoroute à emails...never use work email to conduct torrid love affairs or all the sappy, pervy, icky things you confess to your lovers could go viral too.

NO ONE, and we mean NO ONE has had a worse email gaffe than John X did about an hour ago. The Cornell Business School Tech Consultant managed to pass on his entire long and very steamy exchange with his mistress, Lisa (another Cornell Business Employee), TO THE ENTIRE JOHNSON SCHOOL. Both are married. Click below for the entire email exchange, including photos of the two. It seems like a joke, but we assure you, this is real life, folks, and it's not pretty.

Wow this story is months old... way to go. :P

I guess I run with the wrong crowd, because I hadn't heard about it before now. Would you happen to know what became of the couple?

I think its a bit amusing that it was a Tech Consultant who made the mistake replying, not to his lover, but to the entire school. But, oh, the embarrassment. I wonder if either of the two still work there?

I know the school apologized and I think the guy who sent the email to the entire school got canned. I'd guess they both ended up divorced too!

Really dumb. I once got in a little hot water (my direct boss thought it was stupid) because I used my business email to conduct personal business. I sent my partner a quick one liner on a Friday:

“We are out of beer.”

By Monday the IT police had notified HR of the offense. Never did that again.

OMG that's so corny. Getting caught talking sexy is better than getting caught talking sexy badly.
