I remember all the arguments I got in with people who thought I was too hard onevan-bayh.jpg Evan Bayh. His heart was in the right place, he's the most liberal person who could be elected from Indiana, he truly believes the right-wing garbage that comes out of his mouth (which makes it OK?)....

Bayh stood for nothing besides self-aggrandizement and augmenting his bank account. And now, like Sarah Palin and Mike Huckabee before him, he'll do that across all of Fox's platforms:

Former U.S. Senator Evan Bayh has found himself a new job. Fox News announced Monday the have signed Bayh to become a contributor to the network.

Bayh will be a commentator and political analyst across all of Fox News' platforms. Bayh served as Governor of Indiana from 1989 to 1997 and then as a U.S. Senator representing the Hoosier State from 1999 until last year when he decided not to seek re-election. Bayh also considered a run for president in 2008 but ultimately decided against it.

I'm sure Fox will play it up with things like "Even a Democrat like Evan Bayh agrees that corporations need another tax break!"

I have known Evan and Susan personally, and I have to say I have never had much (if any) respect for him. I don't believe he has ever stood for anything other than his own well being. Unfortunately, his departure from the Senate now leaves us with someone I like even less - Dan Coates. Good riddance to Evan Bayh, but couldn't he have at least tried to leave Indiana with another Democrat in his place? Nah, he just didn't care. I doubt he ever did.

Me too, PR, for a long time. Except for the respect thing. I was at their wedding.

But this one threw me for a complete loop.

Fair and Balanced indeed.

I hope the check is good. I'm really, really disappointed.

It's a race to the bottom. He wins.
