Just when you think that the National Organization for Marriage couldn't get any wackier, along comes this story from Michael Musto about running into an official from the Miss California USA pageant 200px-Carrie_Prejean_Miss_California.jpgoutside of a musical the other evening. Musto was named in Carrie Prejean's lawsuit against the pageant for ousting her after her homophobic "opposite marriage" comments became the talk of the nation.

"Hi, Michael, I'm Keith Lewis from the Miss California USA pageant."

"Oh, you're the one who ripped the crown off Carrie," I noted, grinning. "Congrats!"

"Well, now we're being sued by NOM," he informed me, meaning the National Organization for Marriage group that Carrie had been a spokesperson for.

The suit has something to do with NOM accusing the pageant of releasing damaging (i.e. true) info about Carrie, as opposed to the press having dug it up by itself.

They hypocrisy of the group knows no bounds. They fired Prejean as a spokesperson after her masturbation videos hit the web. (img src)

Gee, Bil. You missed an obvious tabloid tie-in with this story. The Miss USA pageant is owned by Donald Trump. So you say Maggie is suing The Donald!

Michael Musto is the only source for this story. So I'll just say it's about 50% likely to be true.
