Peter-Sprigg.jpgThe stupidity. It burns.

Watch as the Family Research Council's Peter Spriggs tells a rapt audience of sheeple that gay people distrust African-Americans. Be warned, that's not the only outrageous bullshit he spews.

At least the last few words he speaks is true. We do want people to realize that our relationships are just as valid as heterosexual ones.

Video below.

Really? Has he done his research? Intrinsically, gay people are not born gay? There is empirical evidence that we are born that way, we are guided by love just as anyone else is, and we do not get to decide whom we love.
There has been studies that show that the there is definitely markers in DNA (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=8332896&dopt=Abstract), I do not understand why when we want equality, they dismiss it down to "we just don’t want to be called gay. Personally, I have no fear of any African-American (which by the way, I believe is a form of racism to use that acronym, either you are an American or not, another time for that though. I also don’t believe that the so called high-level of support of traditional marriage is as high as he thinks. Only 43% of African Americans are in a "traditional marriage" and if you break it down into inter-racial, the number drops by 5%. As well as the marriage rate of "traditional marriages" ( I really do not or have ever seen a traditional marriage) 6.8 per 1000 of the US. Do you know what the divorce rate is? 3.4%, yep!, half of them get divorced. (http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/divorce.htm) This guy is solely talking to sheeple as Bil says, but what they are really worried about is the current generation. The current generation born 1970 and later, has a more positive, acceptable view of equality, and that is what they are afraid of.
This morning I was watching GMA with Lady Gaga with my neighbor, and he remarked about how "the Rat-Pack" must be turning over in their grave. I said, “That is old school, I remember Dean, Sammy, and the others, however these topics were just not pushed into people’s faces back then”. He agreed, as he has a gay son and supports him and a gay transgender living next door, whom he accepts and support as well.
Today, it is time we influence this conversation, we threaten their morality, and ask what it is about being treated as equal threatens them so much? Oh, I know what it is, they will not have somebody to hate.

There isn't any evidence that sexual orientation ISN'T innate. And marriage, which IS a choice, has been losing ground to cohabitation for decades. Of course, it's hard to see that, or anything else, clearly when you have your head stuck up your ass.
