Don't Text in the Theater

[NSFW] When a girl in Austin, TX gets kicked out of a movie theater for texting (after being warned twice) she decides to call the theater and leave a vulgar and angry voicemail. How did the Alamo Drafthouse Austin respond? By turning it into a PSA that plays before every movie! (Hat tip to Bad Evan from whom I stole this video and explanation)

We need more quiet theaters like this where the movie and the patrons are respected. I watched another one by this same theater where, after some guy keeps running his mouth and disturbing all the other customers, they call up Gov Ann Richards and she comes over and throws his ass out to the curb.

I was one of the camera op's on that short with Ann Richards, we shot it at the South location. (I think about a third of the shots were mine, including the steadicam shot behind her in the hallway.) She was a very busy woman, I recall. She showed up, we shot her stuff quickly and she was gone. She was very friendly, but she definitely carried herself with that aura of a powerful woman. (the video is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUqLWTQCeHM btw)

Every time I watch that video it makes me giggle! I wish we had a Drafthouse Theater here in Indy :(
