The Daily Beast provided some new revelations yesterday in regard to the questions swirling around the practice of Dr. Marcus Bachmann, husband of the Presidential candidate.
Michael Hamar reviewed these questions on Bilerico last week, noting that "Dr." Bachmann is not a licensed psychologist, and received his degree from a non-traditional Ph.D. program at an institution not accredited by the American Psychological Association.
Dr. Bachmann has denied performing reparative therapy.
As the Daily Beast reports, "If there was any doubt that he was lying, it disappeared on Friday, when The Nation broke news of an investigation by Truth Wins Out, a group devoted to combating the ex-gay movement. 'Undeniably, 100 percent, the Bachmann clinic practices reparative therapy, which tries to cure gay people of their homosexuality,' says Wayne Besen, Truth Wins Out's founder."

The TWO staffer is a friend of mine. John stayed in our hotel room for the Creating Change conference this year because he got stuck in another hotel halfway across the city and it was freezing in Minneapolis in February. He's a doll.
Bil, I saw Dr. Weiss' article last month, but somehow didn't see your comment until just now. I miss you!!!
As I understand it, Minnesota has no requirements at all for licensing mental health professionals. I'm shocked, however, that Medicaid funds can go to a graduate of an un-accredited degree granting institution.
ABC Evening News did a story on this, but they only scratched the surface. There was no mention on the federal funding. The Today show will show it later this morning.
