Is it just me or does the crowd in the wide shot at the opening of this video make the tour look really, really pathetic? Nonetheless, the Catholic-centered National Organization for Marriage's Brian Brown in a fundraising email touts the tour as "such a success last week!"
But really - this is the only crowd the could draw - even though the tour was co-sponsored by Christian Evangelical-centered Family Research Council Action and the Susan B. Anthony List and drew such top tier presidential candidates as Rick Santorum and Thad McCotter - shown in this video with NOM's Chris Plante and FRC's Connie Mackey. NOM does say Michele Bachmann showed up at one point along the way. But NOM's primary "success" was having so many presidential candidates sign the NOM Marriage Pledge. So expect to hear pitched about the Federal Marriage Amendment this election - which is now being described as "defending the Defense of Marriage Act" as opposed to what it is - an Amendment to the US Constitution to ban marriage equality.
