Just a couple of handsome young soldiers (World War II era?), doing what comes naturally.

I admit to looking at obits of men who served in WW2 with enjoyment when those feature photos of how they looked decades ago. So many were so extraordinarily handsome. Friends suggest that this is a bit to necrophilic for my health but I think of it as positive appreciation.
Late '30s by the look of it - judging by the tailoring, the belt, and the haircuts. I wish I could find that old photo of my great-uncle in his Army Air Force dress uniform. You'd never associate that old fart with the drop-dead gorgeous man in the picture. I used to tease him (with his wife's enthusiastic support) with, "Damn!, Uncle Earl. What happened?!?" Velma would bust-up laughing, and then launch into a tirade of all kinds of nasty stuff and I'd be off on a tear with her. He was such a good sport about it, and all three of us would laugh 'till we were in tears.
