Last night, the Senate Judiciary Committee voted to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act, the federal law that infringes on states' individual policies regarding marriage equality. Now, the discussion about repealing the discriminatory law moves to the full Senate.

Matt Baume of the American Federation for Equal Rights gives a good summary of the issue with some explanations of what could or may happen next, in this new video.
