It's worth repeating that L. King accused their dad of sexually abusing them. That King's adoptive parents pretty much kicked their child out of their home and never supported King's queer/trans gender expression/identity. That gender variant/trans kids who are not supported by their parents remain one of the most vulnerable populations in this society.
