Texas Republican Gov. Rick Perry just can't seem to get the hang of these GOP debates. During the latest round on Wednesday night, moderated by CNBC hosts, Perry forgot one of the three federal departments he'd abolish if elected. As NBC News reported:

While the debate featured the most scrutiny to date of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney's economic plans, and was highlighted by Herman Cain's first debate appearance since the emergence of sexual harassment allegations against him, the gaffe threatened to crystallize Republicans' concerns about his candidacy.

Turning to Texas Rep. Ron Paul to boast, Perry said: "I'll tell you: It's three agencies of government, when I get there, that are gone: Commerce, education and, the, uh, what's the third one there? ... Commerce, education and the uh, the uh...," before being interrupted by a question. "The third agency of government I would do away with -- the education, uh the, uh, commerce, and let's see -- I can't... the third one, I can't. I'm sorry ... oops."

As he stumbled, Perry's rivals suggested the Environmental Protection Agency.

He followed up in a subsequent answer: "By the way, that was the Department of Energy I was reaching for a while ago."

Thursday morning, Perry told AP, "Oh, shoot, no,"when asked if the major gaffe would end his presidential run. "This ain't a day for quitting nothing."

Is it just me, or does Perry remind anyone else of that boss from the movie 'Office Space'?

"This ain't a day for quitting nothing."

Just what The White House needs: another Texas moron.

Hi,

While I won't argue about TX... this guy could be from ANYWHERE, and still be a moron.

This is NOT about fiscal/budgetary concepts, concepts about international relationships, homeland security... or any things/issues of similar import?

This is about a electing a person to the WH, who can think, who can remember, who can talk intelligently, solve problems, suggest solutions, work for the people, etc. Isn't THAT the kind of person we want to be country's "leader".

I hope people see right through the "transparency" of all this BS.

And, Obama better "get his game on" or we may end up with one of the "popular idiots."

"Oh shoot... sorry people, I can't tell you nothing on nothing today.... my dog chewed up my brain." :-D

Huggs,
