Michelangelo Signorile has been tapped to be the Editor-at-Large for Huff Po's new Gay Voices section. Signorile will continue to host his popular Sirius XM radio show.

"We're delighted to welcome Michelangelo Signorile to the HuffPost team," said Arianna Huffington. "He has his finger on the pulse of the issues that matter to the LGBT community, knows how to start provocative, enlightening conversations, and his engaging, plugged-in and fast-moving sensibility is perfect for the web."

Said Michelangelo Signorile: "Like the Huffington Post itself, LGBT issues and culture today cut across every aspect of life -- from pop culture to the halls of Congress, from sports to what's happening in our nation's schools. HuffPost is the ideal platform to provide people gay and straight with what they're looking for: better information, more perspectives and a livelier discussion. This is a pivotal time for the LGBT community, so I'm thrilled to have an opportunity to guide some of the big discussions that we'll be having."

I'm glad to see Mike at the helm of the Huff Po vertical. Since their launch they've been actively trying to poach our contributors by sending e-mails inviting them to post where "you'll get more visibility than Bilerico can ever offer you." If you contact one of us via Bilerico's contact form it puts a blurb in the subject line so you can know it came from the site. Almost every single contributor who's emailed me about it has confirmed that all of their invites came directly from Bilerico's contact form.

I used to post on Huff Po often, but after having my access levels changed several times without explanation - even after e-mailing the editorial team time and time again - it seemed obvious that they didn't value my contributions. One editor asked me to post our Weekly Reader every weekend to help them with LGBT weekend content, but another kept rejecting the posts and refused to publish them. Other timely posts sat in queue for days before finally being published when the news had already been covered on the site or after updates were already published elsewhere. It ended up frustrating me enough that I stopped posting there entirely.

Hopefully with Mike in charge these problems will cease to be holdbacks. He's a consumate professional so I've got high hopes.

*SMH* Yet another disaster for bisexual people. Who can forget his (in)famous "The Path Forward: An Emergency Summit on LGBT Rights" where there were ZERO Bisexual people invited to participate?

Especially when, initially supposing it was just an innocent and easily correctable oversite, he was contacted with increasing urgency by so many voices from the bisexual community and he simply ignored them all. To this day he has never answered, never spoken to, never reached out to, never explained to and most certainly never apologized to anyone!
