After Stephen Colbert announced last week that he was forming an exploratory committee to consider a possible run for "President of the United States of South Carolina," he handed over the reigns to the Colbert Super PAC to Jon Stewart. Since federal law "prevents" collusion between candidates and the PAC's, they've renamed it, "The Definitely Not Coordinating With Stephen Colbert Super PAC."
In true PAC tradition, the definitely not coordinated PAC has started running attack ads against frontrunner Mitt "The Ripper" Romney with a little help from John Lithgow.
Colbert will not be allowed on the ballot in South Carolina. He missed the deadline for filing and there isn't a write-in option. Instead, he'll have to content himself with not coordinating attacks on Mitt Romney or other candidates. I can't wait to
not watch them.
