I'm warning you, you'll want to hurl something at your computer screen if you're already in a foul mood today. Watch as Robert Traynham, Rick Santorum's black, gay, former chief-of-staff, defends the candidate's anti-gay and racist statements on Chris Matthews yesterday evening.
While Traynham says he disagrees with Santorum about his right to "fall in love and to be with whomever I choose to," he denies that Santorum just doesn't like gay people and wants sodomy re-criminalized (which Santorum has said) and tries to spin the former Senator's statement that states should have the right to ban contraception. Trayham tries to turn the position into an anti-abortion stance before Matthews cuts him off and tells him to answer the question. Traynham doesn't.
Bilerico contributor Mike Rogers famously outed Traynham in 2005 after the aide kept defending his boss's homophobic statements.
