This moving video by Ryan James Yeazak is an amazing trip through the history of discrimination and the changing face of gay rights in the U.S. - and a precursor to the documentary Yeazak hopes to make called "Second Class Citizens."

The piece has come under some criticism for its heavy portrayal of white gay men (Dan Choi and Ellen DeGeneres excepted) and non-portrayal of bi or transgender persons. It is a trailer - hopefully the full film will fill out some of the demographics.

Still, I find it a potent reminder of how far we've come - and how far we have left to go.

Watch it and tell us what you think.
