Today I'm joining in with several other sites to promote Trevor Thomas' campaign for Congress in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Trevor is openly gay, pro-choice, and a personal friend. When we moved to DC, he was one of the first persons to invite me out for coffee as a "local."
You've most likely seen his name as a spokesperson for the Human Rights Campaign or Servicemembers Legal Defense Network; he's one of us and he's running a very tight primary campaign against an anti-choice self-funded conservative millionaire who claims Trevor has "extreme political views."
The campaign leans red, but Trevor is just the guy to shake up the status quo. Can you help Trevor out by throwing some dollars in the bucket to help him face off with yet another rich guy running for Congress?
Trevor isn't a bajillionaire only worried about tax breaks for the rich or attending caviar and champagne parties with other fancy pants. He's part of the 99%; his mom and dad met on the factory lines of General Motors where they worked together for more than 30 years.
One of the most important fundraising deadlines before a primary race is approaching quickly - March 31. He needs to show he's a viable candidate with a wide range of support and that's where we come in.
Join us in supporting Trevor's campaign for Congress even if it's just $5. Every dollar counts and the more donors he has, the more support he can show voters he has.
