The comment of the week comes via e-mail this time. Since the person emailing didn't leave it on the site via Facebook, I'm not sure they wanted their full name used 
so I'll only share the brief note.
I just heard Roland Martin on the CNN Sunday morning program speaking about profiling and violence against African-American males. I felt everything he said was totally right and very necessary. However, what he said was undermined by my knowledge that he has very recently advocated violence against gay men. So violence against African-American men is despicable, but the same person who challenges the nation about that has recently advocated violence against gay men. CNN can and should do better.
So what do you think, Projectors? Is it a double standard? Or should we simply accept that violence against any people is violence against all people and be happy that he's speaking up?
As the person writing acknowledged, racial profiling is a huge problem in America - but so is violence against the LGBT community. Will weighing one against the other accomplish anything or is it another game in the Oppression Olympics?
Does Roland's recent suspension and statements about gay men undermine his message for you?
