My partner, David, recently fell in love with Downton Abbey. A secret anglophile, the stuffy world of a British mansion is right up his alley. Needless to say, I've been forced to watch.
I have run into few people that dislike the show, and I agree that it is acted well, but I just don't like it. It's boring. Judge me if you will, but this is a problem I have with many period pieces. Not a judgement on the show, just a difference in taste.
Ahh - it feels nice to get that off my chest.
In spite of my disinterest, I find this new video from College Humour as a worthy alternative for those of us who like life a little more light hearted. A parody on the opening of the Will Smith led sitcom, the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, I have a feeling these lyrics will soon be memorized and playing on repeat in my head.
Check out the video after the jump.
