"Today, the Indiana Supreme Court ruled against the Democratic election challenge regarding who should serve as Secretary of State, and although I am disappointed by their decision, I respect the outcome of the case. It is my hope that Gov. Daniels will appoint a Secretary of State who will restore integrity to a tarnished office and who will work with both parties to make sure our election laws are properly administered so that all eligible Hoosiers can cast their ballots."
-- Indianapolis current City-County Councilor and former Secretary of State candidate Vop Oslii (D) speaking about the Indiana Supreme Court's decision that Charlie White, the former Secretary of State convicted of voter fraud for registering at the wrong address, was eligible to be on the ballot as a candidate. If the court had found White ineligible for election, Oslii would have been automatically given the office as the next highest vote winner. Republican Governor Mitch Daniels will pick White's replacement now.
