When we moved to DC, I sold my car to Jerame's parents. Since we're in the heart of everything, we can walk, ride the bus, or take the Metro everywhere. We just joined the Capital Bikeshare program that allows you to borrow a bicycle from several stations around town and then return it to any other docking station; if your ride is less than a half hour, it's free!
I noticed yesterday that I don't look at gas prices anymore. While I used to constantly be on the look out for the cheapest price to fill up the car, now it's not a consideration. When I looked up and saw that gas was $4.16/gallon for the low grade fuel, I was shocked. When Jerame and I started dating, gas was .79/gallon.
So help me out, Projectors. What's the gas price were you live?
