Today is moving day at Rancho Bilerico. It's not a big move though, we're just going to a bigger apartment on a bigstock-Moving-Boxes-on-a-red-dolly-Wi-6101608.jpgdifferent floor of the same building.

Our condo building has a rule that the owners can only rent for three years. Our landlord hit his limit and gave us a month to move out. Thankfully, another renter was leaving this month so we snagged their place; it's actually the condo we were going to rent when we moved from Indiana. I found it on Craigslist, but the old renter put in an application a few hours before we did. The owner helped us to snag the place we ended up with.

The new place is much bigger and the rent is around the same. Now that we've moved to a more metropolitan city that people like to visit, our place has become a popular stop for activists and bloggers. For example, after Cleve Jones went to the White House as a Champion of Change, the next home he went to was Rancho Bilerico!

Unfortunately, if we had more than three people over at the same time, someone was sitting on the floor thanks to the tight space. Now we'll have enough room to host a (small) party!

Since I'll be in the land of dustbunnies and strained backs all day, I thought I'd put up an open thread for ya'll to amuse yourself. Tell us your worst moving experience. Tell us your best. Or just talk about whatever you'd like. The floor is yours.
