Someone cue the Log Cabin Republicans and GOProud to beat their chests and proclaim the Romney/Ryan ticket a smashing gay success. In an interview with a Florida television station, Paul Ryan told the interviewer that the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell was a done deal so there was no point in reinstating it.
This will, of course, be touted as absolute proof that the Republican ticket is obviously the best choice for LGBT people. After all, Ryan voted for ENDA five minutes after he voted for a parliamentary procedure to kill the bill. Nothing says concrete principles like voting against something you supposedly support.
Paul Ryan voted against the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell, by the way.
