Hurricane Sandy is headed straight for Rancho Bilerico, so I'm working hard this morning to set up as much content as possible to auto-publish throughout the day. So far, we've had some rain and the temperature dropped, but that's about it.

hurricane-sandy.jpgWhile our area tends to keep the electricity on, you can't be too careful. After all, our editors are on the East Coast!

Here in DC, the Metro and bus service has been shut down, the federal government and schools are all closed, and traffic is light. I haven't explored the neighborhood yet to see what's still open.

I'll be checking in on Facebook as much as possible. I've been posting photos of what it looks like outside of Rancho Bilerico every few hours, but so far they haven't been too exciting. I also have a post up for other locals to check in on and tell us how it's going in their neck of the woods and we'll be posting a link to this article on our Facebook fan page for people to check in too.

Be sure to let us know you're safe! See you on the other side of the eye.
