- Reports out of Cameroon, which recently executed a man for homosexuality, indicate that a man may have been detained and beaten by the police for among other things "being a defender of gays."
- Opponents of marriage equality are arguing that because heterosexual couples can have babies by accident, same-sex couples shouldn't be allowed to marry.

- Kathleen Wynne is Canada's first LGBT premier and the first woman to be premier of Ontario.
- Three senators have reintroduced a bill to ban discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity in the jury selection process.
- After the BSA threatened to disband them otherwise, a Maryland Boy Scout troop removed an LGBT inclusive non-discrimination statement from their website.
- In a story seemingly ripped from the pages of The Onion, a married priest in New York has chosen to covert to Roman Catholicism, including giving up sexual relations with his wife, out of protest of growing liberal trends such as the ordination of gay and female priests within Episcopalianism, his former denomination.
