A lawsuit filed against The Abbey by a lesbian and a straight mother of three alleges that on separate occasions in 2011, the-abbey.jpgat least three employees slipped them drugs then sexually assaulted them. The suit says the lesbian has never before been with a man. Their attorney, Robert W. Hirsh, told KABC TV in a statement:

"The objectives of the case are to obtain fair and just compensation for the horrible injuries suffered by my clients as a result of the defendant's wrongful conduct, and to induce The Abbey and other nightclubs to provide proper security to protect patrons."

The Abbey also issued a statement:

"When the incident was brought to our attention, we cooperated fully with the local police on an investigation and no criminal charges were ever filed. We will continue to keep the safety of our customers and employees a top priority, as we have for the past 24 years."

TMZ first reported the lawsuit. KABC reports that one of The Abbey's employees was arrested but was never charged. The women are seeking more than $10 million in damages.
