"Senator Schumer will determine if our families have the 10th vote they need. If he fails to offer that vote to Senator Leahy, and the chairman in turn cannot offer the amendment, it will be his fault, and his fault alone, that LGBT families are left behind."

-- Immigration Equality spokesperson Steve Ralls after Senator Chuck Schumer expressed reservations about voting to include LGBT married couples in the proposed immigration reform bill. Schumer is worried that if we're included, the legislation won't pass.
