you-have-a-purpose.jpgA few months ago I wrote a story about the You Have a Purpose Project Facebook page, which was created in response to a teacher in Sullivan County, Indiana, who told a TV reporter that gay people have no purpose in life.

Well, last Saturday, June 8th at the Indy Pride Parade, I met up with Annette Johnson; she interviewed me about the You Have a Purpose Project for ICIndymag.com, an online community magazine.

Watch, after the jump.

Also, on Friday, June 7th, the Rev. Marie Siroky -- who conceived the idea of the You Have a Purpose Project -- was interviewed by Pimm Fox of The Bloomberg Report's Taking Stock TV show. They discussed, among other things, how she decided to use Facebook as the vehicle to reach out to as many people as possible about the Project.

We are thrilled that our Facebook page has over 1,500 Likes. However, we need more videos, so we hope you will consider making your own video and letting LGBT youth know that they indeed have a purpose!
